Meet Your Coach - Larry

With over 20 years on the course and experience coaching at the collegiate level with NYU, I help beginner and intermediate golfers build a swing they can trust. Whether you’re picking up the game for the first time or breaking into single digits, I bring a modern, tech-driven approach to coaching — using 3D motion capture and slow-motion analysis with Sportsbox AI to give you clear, actionable feedback you can see and feel.

    From complete beginners (never held a club) up to advanced players (+5 HDCP). I've coached it all but specialize in that 0-1 phase.

    I try to incorporate it into all my lessons but it really comes into affect when a player is in the intermediate phase (doing full swings etc). It helps us break down your swing into sections and benchmark it to where it should be vs. where you are today.

    I have limited men's irons, women's, and even junior right handed clubs I can lend for the initial lesson but suggest getting an initial set as soon as possible. Happy to help give suggestions in club selection as well!

    Depending where your game needs the most help. If you're completely new to the game, we'll start with the basics (stance, grip, placement) and gradually move onto swing dynamics and hand/body rotation.

    More advanced players we will focus on specific drills and issues in your swing (irons, wedges, or woods). I usually do not do much putter work in my lessons.

    Also we’ll utilize the Sportbox app to record your swing so you can also review it in slow motion capture afterwards. I will typically give some commentary on the app as well.

    For my advanced students, we'll be more focused on specific swing mechanics and zeroing in on small tweaks which will invariably have big downstream affects. Sometimes we've even maxed out on what your swing can produce and we'll need to start working on your swing speed. For this, I have swing trainers like TheStack where we will go through overloading and overclocking your swing speed to show you how fast you can actually swing. Remember, swinging 1 more mph will yield up to 2.5-3 yards of carry in your shot. We'll do all this in the lesson itself.
